MAINTAINING A STABLE HOME IN A MOVING WORLD

Everything around us is changing and it look as if the family is the devil target, women are not submissive anymore and men  have  lost the ability to love, meanwhile if we can follow the basic principles in the bible, everything will work out well, everything I'm gonna talk about centered on those two principles, love and submission. Eph 5: 22-26, 33, colosian 3:19, 1 Peter 3:7.

God ordained family in the garden of eden, therefore satan has always hated this institution, satan attack on the first marriage caused the fall of man and loss of rulership of the world, currently your home is your Eden and if you give rom to the devil, he will drive you out of your Eden. devil is targeting the family because if you miss it or if you are having issues in your relationship and marriage, every other aspect of your life will be affected. One will begin to wonder where we have lost it. Gen chapter 3.

Sometimes we say it was better the day of our fore father, but obviously many of them didn't know Christ, that means things should be better now that we know CHrist. When it look as if everything is going upside down in marriage, what do we do?Q

1. Focus on the positive and not the negative: focus on what is working and not what is not. Look at the bright side of life, concentrating on the positive side of your partner will make you happier because you will see the cup half filled and not half empty. No one is perfect and we all have our flaws, you will be a sad person if you concentrate on the negative side and the marriage will eventually become faded

2. Compromise: marriage is a union of two people coming from a different background, you can't think the same way bc your background affect your attitude, and no one is perfect. someone once said that marriage is a union between the deaf and the blind , ear no evil, see no evil. Compromise  means coming to a mutually agreeable solution, something that you can both live with. Most time we feel we are right and wouldn't want to shift ground. Eg house chores and sex. Amos 3:3- can two work together unless they agreed. (talk about people going to see spiritualist or going agains bible principle, that is not what I mean by compromise)

3. Communicate: this is 2 points in one. Talk to yourselves and not a 3rd party. In marriage you need to keep the communication track open, keep talking and never keep mute. don't discuss your wife with your friends, theybwill lead you astray. If the grass is greener on the other side, it's because the owners water it. There's is no point dying silence because the person you are fighting might not know, stop been moody, stop keeping marline, thrash the problem bybtalking about it . Ability to know how to table your matter is also very important. God encourages communication in Ishaiah 1:18- come now and let's reason together. Even if it's aboutbsex, talk about it unless you have alternative.

4. Acceptance: this is close to compromise but a little bit different, you need to accept the other party the way they Are, we are all different and unique in our own different way. If you marry someone, accept them for whom they are now not whom you want them to be

5. Be romantic:
A. Dressing: Esther 2:9-12
B. sex: SOS 4:16, 1cor 6:15-20
C. kissing:Solomon 1:2, 4:11

6. Faithfulness

7. Trust

8. Prayer: a family that pray together stays together
